How can I be involved with Watsonia Primary School?
It's easy! You can be involved in the School Council and its Sub-Committees - Parents and Friends, Canteen, Uniform Shop, Marketing, Facilities, Education , assist in the classroom or you can simply volunteer your time to help.
Each family receives a Newsletter, called "What's On At Watsonia Primary" every Thursday, which contains information about the weeks events and upcoming events such as sub-committee meetings and other general ideas.

The Parents' and Friends' Group meets once a month. Details of meetings are announced in the school's newsletter, "News and Notes. This group of parents raise money and provide special activities for our school. You are invited to join the group or simply support their activities.
The School Canteen is run with two main aims. To provide a service to the children and their parents and funds for the School. All helpers at the Canteen are voluntary, and most do a morning duty as often as they wish. If you are able to help, you will be made most welcome! We are happy to be flexible when rostering parents for canteen duty, to fit in with your work and other commitments. You are invited to join the groups meetings.
School uniform is compulsory at Watsonia Primary School. Details of meetings are announced in the school's newsletter, "News and Notes. The uniform shop is run by volunteers. You are invited to join the groups meetings.

To help keep our School looking tidy and safe, we have a Facilities Committee. This committee meets twice a term to discuss any jobs or suggestions that need to be attended to. You are invited to join the groups meetings.
Education is always evolving. This committee meets twice a term to keep the School Council up to date with any changes to teaching methods, workshops etc.. You are invited to join the groups meetings.
